Brick, Stone or Slate Effect Cladding

Glass reinforced plastic cladding is the ideal solution in situations where the use of heavy brick, stone or slate is impractical, and can be fitted by carpenters, (no brick laying or concrete mixing required), at great speed and with no mess.

Highly skilled staff from GRP Building Products Ltd have perfected the art of producing fibreglass panels which look exactly like these finishes. Ideal for use on:

  • shopfitting
  • film and stage sets
  • factory units
  • garages
  • outbuildings

GRP externally applied panels can also be made in a range of perfectly matched finishes to suit your requirements.

Interior Tile-Effect Wall Panels

Lightweight, yet durable, fibreglass interior wall panels and coverings are a smart choice for both industry and home use. Panels can be made to match current interior finishes. Easily cleanable and hygienic, they offer an ideal solution in areas including retail, commercial kitchens, washrooms, canteens and hospitals.

Client Grp brick effect cladding, grp stone effect sills, grp chimney and pots

Project

GRP Building Products were approached to supply brickwork cladding panels, stone effect window sills, plinth, chimney and pots for this special project at the Chelsea Flower Show.

The structure is a replica of one of engineer Thomas Telford’s famous Holyhead to London Toll Houses.  Telford & Wrekin Council chose the design for Chelsea to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Thomas Telford’s birth.

It was an ideal project to show off the lightweight, quick to assemble products to a large audience.  No one could tell that the brick was not real – even the judges were fooled!

The design won a Silver Flora award.

Originally a steel framed factory building with a coated metal profile inner skin, this was a perfect candidate for brick effect cladding.

The metal was clad with plywood to affix the grp brick effect panels on to, giving the finished effect of a traditional brick construction.

Project

A homeowner contacted GRP Building Products to install our Easi-Wall system which has been deliberately designed around the standard concrete garden fence post. This system makes installation very easy, either from scratch or allowing easy conversion of an existing fence, with just the addition of the Easi-Wall panels and post covers.

Panels are available as brick both sides or with one side bonded to a Stryrowood trellis. Styrowood is made from recycled non-biodegradeable plastics, is completely waterproof and maintenance free.

Project

A homeowner in Hagley contacted GRP Building Products with a requirement for an alternative to a brick built garage. Traditional construction would have required foundations for which planning had been refused due to tree preservation orders. By using grp brick effect cladding panels to match the house, the builder was able construct a timber frame garage instead. The installation was completed in 2 days.

Project

In 2009 a developer built 8 apartment blocks as Social Housing. The buildings had to be built without footings, therefore could not support the weight of traditionally built brick walls. GRP Building Products were commissioned to provide 2.4 metre high grp brick effect cladding panels which would be screwed directly to wooden batons, which themselves housed a waterproof membrane and insulation. The pale powder shown on the photographs was trimming dust, which was hosed off on completion.
