GRP Building Products was commissioned to produce a lightweight cover to mask a large metal extraction flue used on a restaurant in a Grade 2 listed building.

The brick effect cover has proved an ideal solution to an issue which was threatening to blight the restaurant development in the capital.

The planning authority stipulated that the extraction flue would have to be covered so that it would blend in with the Flemish Bond style brickwork.

The cover was made in sections with the fibreglass laid onto a lightweight metal frame, making it easily fitted to the side of the building.

GRP Building Products created new tooling and GRP column covers which were colour matched in blue, grey and white to retrofit for the refurbishment to the exterior of the store.

A homeowner asked GRP Building Products to supply some Easi-Wall panels and post covers to fit standard concrete garden fence posts, in a buff brick to match the property.

These panels were bonded to standard fence panels, are available in different heights and are easily fitted.

During a development at the University of Sheffield in 2008, GRP Building Products was commissioned to overcome issues surrounding weight bearing and colour matching of rendering. GRP used the latest methods to colour match existing rendering, then applied the finish to fibreglass replicas of stone facades. These could then be easily installed to the new build structures.
